In yet another initiative by the Valletta Cruise Port Social Club a number of primary and secondary school-age residents in local homes benefitted from a ‘Back-to-School’ drive.
Personnel at Valletta Cruise Port contacted local homes enquiring on specific back-to-school requirements with significant response. Children at Dar Sagra Familja (Zabbar), Kids Richmond, St. Joseph (Zabbar), St. Rita Home (Tarxien) and St. Theresa Home (Zurrieq) received various items including school bags and pencil cases, desktop instruments, drawing materials, filing and storage items, paper supplies, geometry sets, calculators and craft supplies.
Stephen Xuereb CEO Valletta Cruise Port and COO Global Ports Holding said, "This is an excellent initiative taken by our personnel as part of the many actions undertaken by the Valletta Cruise Port Social Club during the year. Every child has the right to learn, and having the right environment and enabling instruments is paramount to the education and growth of every child. We are happy to be supporting children’s homes which do an excellent job in providing a loving environment to these young people, and in any requirements they may have in order to continue offering an enabling environment for children and youths in our community."
The Valletta Cruise Port Social Club would like to thank AX Group, Lincs Trading Ltd., NOI Studio, and Complete Supplies Limited for their support in this particular campaign.
